Beginners DJ’s or even professionals will know the value of a decent set of DJ speakers. Without high quality sound you will have difficulties to get a party going ad thats why I researched this article to find the best DJ speakers out there.
DJ’s also know that premium speakers will give optimum sound and work even in a large venue, the problem with cheap speakers is they limit a party to a small room, no good if you’re playing to a large room of people!
If you’re partying outside you want your speakers to carry sound, a tinny pair of speakers on the edge of a swimming pool won’t reach people standing on the other side, so buying the best possible speaker you can find is a must and these three best DJ speakers are my ultimate must-have party speakers.
As a note, if you want to buy outstanding speakers for a great sound experience use Amazon.com. This is simply because you get a great value for your budget. Here is my list:
Rockville RPG-122K Dual 12 Inches (the best DJ speakers I found)
These not only sound awesome they look incredible and come with their own stands so they make a real statement in any room. On Amazon.com they retail at about $239 and come with a built-in amplifier, Bluetooth, USB/SD player plus a wired microphone.
They give 1000 watts peak and come with a built in 12” long throw woofer for incredible depth of sound with sharp clarity. You’ll find these hold the signal from an iPhone or tablet without any distortion and the microphone is good quality. This is suitable for a room around 400 square foot with up to around 70 people in it – you’ll get a high quality party performance with these speakers and while the stands are small, they extend up to 6 foot.
The entire system is lightweight and portable so if you’re on the move these are great – the ideal speakers for a small gig, they’re also strong enough to use outdoors listening to a movie or perhaps by the pool.
PRORECK PARTY 15 Inch Speaker System
Unfortunately these aren’t currently available on Amazon.com but hopefully they will come back into stock because they are an incredible set of very lightweight portable speakers which are convenient and easy to use. There’s no price either because of the stock issue but if you want to try and find them somewhere else, here’s some useful information.
Crank the volume up and you’ll get a great audio experience with no distortion and at 2000 watts these really rock a party. They’re ideal for outdoor use as well as indoor and there’s some great additional features including a microphone, remote control and built-in radio.
There’s even a slot for SD memory cards and the system has LED lights. If you want to use Bluetooth you’ll find this system pairs with most tablets and iPhones/iPads. There is a microphone which isn’t the greatest microphone in the world but still these might be the best DJ speakers for you.
JBL EO612 12 Inch 2-Way Stage Monitor Speaker System
If you’ve got money to spend then invest in this JBL Speaker System which retails at $399 on-line but promises an astounding audio experience. This system isn’t for the faint hearted – when you crank up that volume it will literally shake the house down with no distortion at all, a pumping base and sound which travels so it’s the ideal outdoor system too. Come on Marleen, this is JBL and you know that even with an 12 inch system you will get the best DJ speakers out there with this buy. DJ-ing is a business so you have to put money in to get more out, so even if it is a bit of stretch go for it.
It’s built to deliver the ultimate in sound and it’s completely self-contained with wireless remote control and Bluetooth compatibility. Not only all of that it’s a great looking piece of sleek modern equipment, ideal for professional DJ use. For the price you get one speaker but it’s more than enough and you can plug a microphone into the speaker giving you plenty of flexibility. For added convenience you can change the voltage from 115 to 230 too so it’s an impressive piece of kit.
As an advice I wouldn’t use the volume at its highest because there is a risk it might burn out. You shouldn’t need it on the highest level anyway – it plays very loud without being turned up to maximum!
My conclusion about the Best DJ Speakers
As a semi-professional DJ my speakers are the Rockville RPG-122K Dual 12” Powered Speakers With Stands & Microphone which I use regularly for small parties, and they are the best DJ speakers for such small gigs. However despite being thrilled with these speakers I plan for my next speakers to be the JBL EO612 12” 2-Way Stage Monitor Powered Speaker System which I want to use for larger parties and gigs.
